Life is a geological force
What began as a nostalgia trip back to New Zealand, revisiting the land I left in the ´80s, when I first came to live in Spain, has gone beyond that and become more of a wider journey in which I have returned to the landscape. The glaciers which I explored way back in the ´80s are now the source of a series of work which is really more about the earth as a biosphere.

Las esculturas también pertenecen a varias etapas. Las piezas utilizando la forma de una gota son muy personales e íntimas. En estas piezas exploro un universo interior y saco hacia el exterior en tamaño exagerado formas originalmente microscópicos. Se trata sobre el origen de la vida – por eso uso la forma de una gota, la esperma, el huevo. Vuelvo a la mascara y cara y el viaje pero en sueños. El susurro de las conchas desde debajo del mar me lleva de vuelta a mi origines. Uso la cuerda para atar y dibujar en línea el espacio. Algunos de las piezas son relieves en escayola usando la cara como mapa y para excavar formas rocosas de una tierra imaginaria. En 1998 hice una instalación para el pueblo de Anso en Huesca, España.
